Résumé

Une enquête, menée il y a à peu près deux ans, auprès des fabricants
américains, a établi que plus de 93% des personnes ayant répondu utilisent encore la main d'oeuvre directe comme base pour la ventilation des frais généraux, alors que la main d’oeuvre directe s'est avérée être, sinon étrangère, du moins mineure dans les coûts de production pour de nombreuses sociétés.
L'estimation conventionnelle des coûts, décrite ci-dessus, ne répond pas au besoin actuel d'atteindre une compétitivité de pointe.
